Cool Stuff for Kids

Our base camp manager, teacher Kevin Cherilla, has prepared lesson plans for his students to learn about the history, culture, and environment of Nepal and the Himalayas.

Team member Michael O'Donnell and La Petite Academy will join up to bring the excitement of this special event to thousands of children at 744 locations nation wide. Michael will be communicating with the children from basecamp via email and the children will be following the progress of the expedition and doing weekly projects on Mount Everest, Nepal and the world environment. Mike will also be conducting a workshop called Best Year Yet focusing on the team and organizational dynamics

The expedition team recently attempted Ama Dablam (22,486 ft/ 6854 m) last spring. Relive the expedition by going to the Ama Dablam minisite.
